Metamorphosis

A special early collaboration with fellow jeweler, Holly Green, this wild piece is both double sided and can be worn from either "top" or "Bottom".
Featuring a vibrant Vera Cruz amethyst, the intricate swirls and weaves subtly birth accents of amethyst and pearl on the front and a near-hidden pair of peridot on the back.
 
Crafted using 14k gold fill (gold bonded mechanically onto brass), sterling silver, and copper wires.
 
A piece like this takes many hours of hand twisting to create such an array of textures that all flow together into a single piece; much in the way of how transformation takes hundreds of little changes to amalgamate into a new life.
